What we see and hear depends on our locale. In remote and rural places it’s not uncommon to hear slurs on many: Jews and “Arabs” and black, brown, beige, whatever skin toned people. The stereotypes are deep-seated and come from ignorance and hatred and intolerance. Surely we can agree on that.
Grew up in rural Iowa..lived in Chicago, NYC, DC, and now Paris. Never in my childhood in Iowa did I hear the antisemitic trash I have heard the past few months. Moreover, I never feared for my safety like I do in France. Hint: I am not scared of "Nazis".
